Under Anne's leadership, the ranch has invested heavily in horse breeding, and now produces some of the finest quarter horses in the world. Each cowboy gets 10 to his string, which he'll train to work cattle and do other various tasks. If the ranch and the cowboy agree to sell one, they split the proceeds.
When not horseback, the cowboys drive more than 25,000 miles a year over dirt ranch roads in a fleet of red Ford pick ups emblazoned with the white Four Sixes brand.
