Sun sets on a successful shoot The Titan / Libra combination thundered down dirt roads, spectacularly capturing running horses, while the helicopter roared over the plains, filming a cattle drive from amazing high angles, and chasing Dawn, Alicia, Jake and the remuda across a pasture, a few feet from the ground. We had big shots, of 20 riders pushing 1,200 cattle up a canyon, and tight close-ups, of sunlight raking across gloved hands shoeing a horse. Some of the moments we captured were archetypal 'cowboy scenes,' made all the more powerful because they were real. Most of the others will be, I'm fairly sure, new ways for viewers to look at a culture they think they may already know.

Coast Mountain ranges After Texas, we went right into four weeks of planning for Canada. Since Rodney Taylor, who shot South America and Texas, had gone to work on a feature film, we turned to David Douglas for Canada and the rest of the shoots. We had been talking to Dave for more than a year, so he was familiar with our goals for the film, and fit right into the team.
